I know a lot of people tend to skip it and I'm not gonna lie I used to be one of them as I found it quite tedious to keep reapplying my SPF. But we have so many options available in the market right now which makes our life easy. Please feel free to ask me anything if you are still confused. Answering a few FAQs here: What is SPF? *SPF is short for sun protection factors What is UVA, UVB & UVC? *UVC Rays are the shortest waves, and usually, do not penetrate the Earth's ozone layer. *UVB rays are longer waves, that reach the skin's surface and can cause surface tanning, burning, and signs of aging. *UVA Rays even longer wave that can penetrate deep into the skin's surface, releasing free radicals and causing DNA changes that can result in skin cancers. Do you need an SPF on cloudy days or indoors? *Skin can absorb the same amount of harmful UVA/UVB rays on a cloudy day as it does on a sunny day. Always wear sunscreen.
